My Thoughts On Having Autism

I think autism is a major problem because it effects a person's life. Because one is limited to what they can do. I struggle to do normal things. I think that more needs to be done to help people with autism.

I think autism has effected my ability to make friends, because people judge me before they even know me.
Some people hear the word autism and think silly thoughts like I cannot understand because I don't speak.

I like it when people are polite. They can also be very patient. The way they should talk to me is really easily. i.e. Really softly. They need a respectful manner. Socially, it takes a feared weird essential practice to be accepted by your peers.

Religiously, it effects really everything. Praying is possible, hoping for prayer to help rescue each soul. As far as going to shul [synagogue] is concerned, I put into practice my learning of the Torah. I feel lonely. By lonely I mean I am not fully included by rabbis and other people.

Educationally, Autism impacts my life by being very much confusing for teachers and other students.

My sensory system is weird. It mostly effects my tactile system and sphincters. My sensory system isn't the best it can be. I have really big problems with my self control.

The sensory dysfunction of Autism is described in Josh's DVD, "Joshua's World" which is available from this website.A superb description of sensory aberration can be found here.
